Bus shelters: funding for municipalities

School Bus Tender: funding for urban furniture
The ministerial tender, issued last October, is aimed at large Italian cities with more than 50,000 inhabitants affected by EU infringement procedures for the violation of pollution parameters and at public, municipal, and state schools of the first cycle of education (elementary and middle schools).
The objective is to finance the creation or implementation of interventions supporting the environmental sustainability of urban school transport, through the use of hybrid or electric vehicles.
Thanks to a **total allocation of 20 million euros**, the following expenses will be eligible for funding:
Design (up to 65 thousand euros)
Purchase of new means of transport (up to 1.1 million euros)
Purchase of charging stations (up to 10 thousand euros)
**Purchase of shelters for school transport service stops (up to 50 thousand euros);**
Development of mobile applications for service organization and control (up to 10 thousand euros);
Promotion of the sustainable school transport service (5 thousand euros);
Monitoring of achievable environmental benefits (up to 10 thousand euros).

You can download the official tender and the application form for the "School Bus" Decree by consulting the Official Gazette no. 311 of December 16, 2020.
Applications must be submitted by **April 15, 2021**, electronically to the PEC address of the Ministry of the Environment.
