Redevelopment of Foggia's market area: smart and functional street furniture

In collaboration with the Municipality of Foggia, we carried out a significant redevelopment project for the Market Area, one of the beating hearts of city life. The project's goal was to transform this space into a more comfortable, functional, and technologically advanced place for both commercial operators and visitors.

The Hub of Innovation: The Stand-Alone Smart Bench

The absolute protagonist of the intervention is our smart bench, a completely autonomous (stand-alone) solution that brings connectivity and services to the heart of the market. Designed to be a small technological hub, it is equipped with:

• Solar Energy: A high-efficiency photovoltaic panel integrated into the structure makes it energy-independent, promoting sustainability and zeroing utility costs.
• Connectivity for all: It provides citizens with USB charging ports and an area for wireless charging of smartphones and other devices, meeting an increasingly felt need.
• Integrated LED Lighting: At sunset, the bench lights up thanks to a LED lighting system, increasing the safety and usability of the area even in the evening hours.

Comfort and Design for Experiencing the Market

To ensure a pleasant experience in all weather conditions and times of day, the furniture has been completed with functional elements and coordinated design:

• Young model covers: These modern structures offer ample shelter from sun and rain, allowing visitors to stroll and shop in total comfort.
• Colly model benches: Alongside these are the benches from the Colly line, which, with their clean and ergonomic design, offer convenient resting and social points throughout the area.

The intervention in the Foggia market area is not a simple supply, but represents a concrete step toward the Smart City concept.
